"Madison expanding" by radiodr on June 9, 2006, 8:41 pm, in category General
I agree with saving Cottage Grove Greenspace.  What also concerns me is the expansion of Madison  into our town.  Some or all of this may be a mute point as Madison seems bent on continuing to grow to the east.  I don't think that the built the new police station on CG road without the intent that they will soon encompass much more land to the east.  There was an piece in the State Journal not long ago that showed a map of Madison's expected grow.....

Notes from an attendee at the Joint Town and Village Plan Commission meeting where The Farm was discussed.

I was surprised that no one from Save the Farm was at last night's Jt. Plan meeting, as the proposed changes to the comphrensive plan was discussed.  Me, Cliff Miller of the State Journal and Gabe of the Herald-Independent were the only ones present other than the board members.  Did someone from Save the Farm tip off the newspaper guys that smething may be said.....

"Why we need to join together." by savethefarm.org on May 3, 2005, 11:27 pm, in category General
We need to join together so that our voices can be heard and that we have a say in how our community develops.

I have been in a similar situation before where I did not voice my opinion when I had a chance and thought that zoning laws would protect the value of my property.  I also thought that neighbors would be good neighbors and would take into consideration the interests of their neighbors when using their property.

About 7 years ago, I purchased a small but nice .....

"Wisconsin State Journal Article" by carriethome on April 14, 2005, 11:52 am, in category General
There is an article in today's (4/14) Local section of the Wisconsin State Journal on last night's Plan Commission meeting written by Barry Adams. Couldn't find a link on the web site but expect it should be available in the archives tomorrow.  It was good to see so many people coming out and speaking against the proposed change, except of course the fellow from Heather Drive who advocates-not in my backyard but theirs!  Today's article didn't mention his vested interest when.....
